AS A FITNESS PROFESSIONAL, ERIKA PETER'S PRIMARY OBJECTIVE IS TO TAILOR FITNESS PROGRAMS FOR EACH CLIENT BASED ON THEIR SPECIFIC GOALS WHILE CONSIDERING THE INDIVIDUAL'S HEALTH AND SCHEDULING NEEDS. She enjoys organizing and building programs that encourage a holistic approach to health, exercise and general well being. As a mother of two young children, Erika understands how conflicting demands can impact her clients' workout regimes and designs programs that can be fit into a busy schedule.

Erika received her certificate in Fitness Instruction from Cal State Hayward in 1998. She also received certificates from the American Council on Exercise and The National Academy of Sports Medicine. She is the author of The Complete Idiot's Guide to Walking for Health. She received her B.A. degree in Art History from the University of California, Berkeley in 1992.

Prior to launching her own fitness practice, Erika worked as a Personal Trainer for Club One in Oakland for 5 years. At Club One she was responsible for conducting fitness assessments which include blood pressure, body composition, girth measurements, cardiovascular capacity, strength and flexibility testing. She tailored fitness programs for both healthy individuals and special populations including diabetics, cancer patients, obese, neurological disorders, and elderly adults.

She also spent a year at the Embarcadero YMCA in San Francisco where she designed time efficient programs for working individuals. Her focus was to incorporate safe and effective programs for people who had a limited amount of time to work out.

Erika also taught core training to chiropractic patients in Berkeley where she developed core stabilization programs for patients with a variety of physical limitations and injuries to help establish greater mobility, strength and functional capacity.

Erika's personal fitness interests have varied from triathalons to training for a figure competition. She also enjoys yoga, running, weight training and dancing.
